New Twitter gadget for Vista Sidebar May 22, 2008 at 5:55 pm

I finally got around to updating an sidebar gadget, I had been using a twitter gadget by Charles Schmidt, but the time was off and I wanted to be able to send direct messages from it. So I just wrote it. It receives all your statuses, allows you to send new status and also allows you to send direct messages. It doesn’t currently allow you to receive direct messages, but It will soon as I get around to building it. If you like it or have suggestion, write me a comment.

Hey, I’m using your twitter app, pretty good so far but each post is preceded by the line “undefined undefined”, justified to the right. Any idea what’s going on?
Hmmm, I am guessing that is the time, the code attempts to change the twitter GMT time to a localized time using javascript functions. Unfortunately depending on the version of javascript you will either get the correct time or the undefined undefined error. What version of vista are you using the gadget in?
Vista Ultimate with SP1. I have also set twitter to be on GMT in the settings on site, if that could be affecting it (twitter’s overloaded again right now so can’t log in to try changing this). Think you’re right this must be the timestamp, as there is no timestamp showing up at the moment!
Sorry, should’ve said 32bit Vista, just to clarify…
