Wow, been neglecting my blog

So, I guess I have been super busy and been neglecting  my online life. So I figured I would come give a summary of the last three months, wax philosophical for a bit then go to bed.  So my parents just left, was a great visit, my dad was here for almost two months and my mom was here for a week.  While dad was here we played some golf, and hung out. It was good to spend some time with him, we don’t talk much, just the way we are.  Its interesting we can go play golf and have lunch and its like two old friends being together, you don’t have much to say but it is not awkward, is very comfortable and enjoyable.

Once mom got into town we headed over to Las Vegas, my wife has never been. We stayed at the MGM grand and had a good ole time walking teh strip, gambling a little and visiting family that live there. Saw the Cirque du soleil show KA. Was pretty cool, great mixture of acrobatics and acting.

I bought myself a Nexus One when they came out, absolutely love the thing. Was happy when they added multi-touch and I Can’t wait till Flash goes live on it.

I was going to wax philosophical about life, work and raising children, but I am tired, will do it another time.

So I preordered a T-Mobile G1

I pre-ordered the T-MObile G1 on the day it was announced, 9/23, and got it for $179. And then today I heard that the new 16gb Micro SD card fron Sand Disk will be compatible! I am so excited about that!

“We have completed tests, and the new SanDisk 16GB card will run on the current version of Google’s Android Phone. No new firmware required.” -Google Spokesperson

SanDisk’s 16GB microSDHC card has an MSRP of $99.99 and will be available at Best Buy Mobile stores in October and Verizon Wireless stores in November – the only major retailers in the United States to carry this mobile storage capacity in 2008.

So Needless to say I am extremely happy about this development. My only complaint I have about the phone is its proprietary headset connector, some extended mini-usb port. But hopefully someone will make an adapter so I can plug the phone into a traditional aux jack.

Android SDK Disappointing?

So I have been using teh Android SDK for about a month now since it was released. I have to say I am disappointed, I don’t know about any other developers out there but the lack of documentation makes this SDK very hard to work with. I find it very difficult to get a very professional feel otu of the few attempts I have made to work with the API, its not what I expected from Google.
