National Institute on Media and the Family 10 games to avoid (Matt’s 10 games to PLAY!)

The games that made this list are rated M for mature and should not be in the hands of a minor anyway. So if a child ends up with this game, it is more than likely the parents fault for buying it for them. Granted the games on this list are the games that are going to be the best sellers, so kids will try to go behind their parents back and get ahold of these games themselves. Anyway the games are listed below, and if you are a true gamer like myself this list reads more like the must play games of the year instead of the games to Avoid.

According to the National Institute on Media and the Family the following 10 games should be avoided for children 17 and under:

Assassin’s Creed

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

Conan

The Darkness

Clive Barker’s Jericho

Kane & Lynch: Dead Men

Manhunt 2

Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles

John Woo Presents Stranglehold

Timeshift

The Commodore 64 is 25 years old

If your a programmer in your thirties and a true love it at heart programmer you know the c64, you played it, you programmed on it. You loved it as a child. Well that good ole’ companion is turning 25.  Could you imagine what kids today would do if they were giving a c64 as a present? The scoffing and sarcasm would be endless, but we loved that clunky little keyboard. Its just hard to believe its been 25 years!

So if your itching for some c64 fix after this article head on over to Gametap and play some of those classic C64 games.
